Sia has released “Bird Set Free,” the second single off of her forthcoming album This is Acting, which will be comprised of songs she had originally written for Rihanna, Beyoncé, and other various artists.
The first single, “Alive” was co-written with Tobias Jesso Jr. and Adele for the latter’s forthcoming 25 but didn’t make the cut; similarly “Bird Set Free” is a piano-driven power-ballad written by the aforementioned three for 25 but was eventually discarded.
The single’s cover art continues the trend of the half-black, half-blond wig; the album art, which Sia revealed yesterday on her newly-launched Instagram, features Maddie Ziegler sporting the same wig.
This is Acting will be released on January 29th, 2016.
