In anticipation of Marvel’s Jessica Jones‘ release on November 20, Netflix has released a second full-length trailer for the series.
Compared to the first trailer released back in October, the second emphasizes the relationship between Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter), professionally, romantically, and as bartender/bar patron. The gloom of Jones’ psychological state — and coping method — is embellished by some dark humor; after ordering a last-call “double,” Cage quips that it’s “a lot of booze for such a small woman,” to which she replies, “I don’t get asked on a lot of second dates.”
Additionally, the second trailer reveals the villainous Dr. Zebediah Killgrave (played by David Tennant), also known as the “Purple Man,” highlighting how his mind-controlling abilities torment and debilitate Jones.
Jessica Jones is the second collaboration between Netflix and Marvel; Daredevil is already available, and Luke Cage and Iron Fist are slated to premiere sometime in 2016.
