Readers of fan fiction and/or Lionsgate shareholders, rejoice: Stephenie Meyer is back! The creator of the commercial behemoth that is Twilight has signed up for another project with Lionsgate, this time on a TV series for Hulu — entitled The Rook, the series will be based on the novel of the same name, by Australian writer Daniel O’Malley. The book is centered around an agency charged with protecting Great Britain from the supernatural, and features an array of fantasical creatures and powers (including, yes, at least one vampire.) It’s generally been well-reviewed, and happily Meyer is named as executive producer on the series, which perhaps means we’ll be spared the delights of her dialogue-writin’ skillz.
