Adele made a memorable return to the stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York Tuesday night, where she played new songs from her upcoming album live for the first time and staged a visual tribute to the city of Paris in response to Friday’s terrorist attacks.
The show, Adele’s first performance since 2011, was scheduled just before her next album, 25, comes out on Friday. With the concert came reports that 25 has leaked, both online and possibly through early retail sales. Piracy aside, “Hello” has sold a record-setting 1.1 million downloads, according to Billboard.
In addition to singing “Hello” and “When We Were Young,” she sang a brand new song called “Water Under The Bridge.”
Adele’s tribute to Paris came during her old hit, “Hometown Hero.” Visuals of Paris, the Effiel Tower and the French flag were projected onto the stage while she performed.
NBC will broadcast Adele’s concert return on December 14 at 10pm Eastern.
