This Is What a ‘Broad City’ Version of ‘Tomb Raider’ Looks Like


It’s a Broad City clip! It’s a video game trailer! It’s…a little bit of both?

Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer have kept Broad City fans satisfied by feeding them a steady diet of short clips between seasons. The latest, however, does double duty as an ad for the latest Tomb Raider game (called, fittingly enough, Rise of the Tomb Raider).

On the one hand, it’s a little weird to see Broad City‘s signature aesthetic used for both capitalism and series promo; on the other hand, endorsements are part of the whole “being famous and successful” thing. Also, who better than Chronic Gamer Girl to help connect Lara Croft with one of the gamer world’s more underserved demographics: stoner ladies?
