The official trailer for the second Barbershop sequel, The Next Cut was released today on Global Grind and it looks like the crew has doubled in size. The all-male barbershop owned by Calvin’s (Ice Cube) has merged with an all-female salon, much like the one in the 2005 spinoff, Beauty Shop.

The supporting cast includes familiar faces reprising their role, including Anthony Anderson, Cedric the Entertainer, Eve, and Sean Patrick Thomas. New faces include Regina Hall, Curb Your Enthusiasm’s JB Smoove, New Girl’s Lamorne Morris, rappers Common, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga. Queen Latifah, who starred in Beauty Shop, will also make an appearance in the film.

The merger between the two shops sets up a “battle of the sexes”-dynamic, but similar to the previous sequel, Barbershop 2: Back in Business tackling gentrification, the new film will also focus on another serious issue threatening the business: gang violence in Chicago.

The film is directed by Malcolm D. Lee, known best for The Best Man series (including The Best Man Wedding, which is also slated be released next year).

Barbershop: The Next Cut will be released on April 15th, 2016. Watch the trailer below.
