“You saw the case, you watched the trial, but you don’t know the half of it.”
FX has released a trailer for their upcoming true-crime anthology, American Crime Story, the first season of which will focus on the murder of Nicole Brown and the resultant trial of O.J. Simpson.
Similar to ABC’s American Crime series, each season of Ryan Murphy’s FX show, American Crime Story will be standalone and focus on one centralized crime. Additionally, as Variety previously reported, American Crime Story is meant to be a companion series to Murphy’s American Horror Story series.
Cuba Gooding Jr. plays O.J. Simpson, and American Horror Story-alum Sarah Paulson (who’s featured prominently in the trailer) plays Marcia Clark, the head-prosecutor for the murder case. The all-star ensemble also includes John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, Selma Blair as Kris Kardashian, Courtney B. Vance as the late Johnnie Cochran, Connie Britton as Faye Resnick and Malcolm Jamal-Warner as Al Cowlings.
American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson will premiere on FX in February 2016.
