Here’s Our First Look at Greta Gerwig in Todd Solondz’s New Movie

It’s been less than 24 hours since Sundance announced its full slate for 2016, and yet here we are, blessed with some (brief) content from one of the most promising projects on the list: Todd Solondz’s Wiener-Dog, which is, uh, a kind of spiritual followup to his 1995 surprise-hit Welcome to the Dollhouse, with Greta Gerwig in the role of Dawn Wiener, who was originally played by Heather Matarazzo.

The film is kind of like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, if you were to replace the pants with a dachshund, and the sisterhood with just a lot of very different people who are made happier by interacting with this particular, adorable dachshund, as seen below (via Indiewire).

Wiener-Dog will also star Ellen Burstyn, Danny DeVito, Kieran Culkin, Zosia Mamet, and Tracy Letts, and will see the return of a few of Dollhouse‘s other characters.
