Powerhouse songstress Adele has already conquered 2015’s charts, with her recent release 25 handily breaking first-week sales records with more than 3 million copies moved. (That number has since risen to 5 million.) With chart dominance firmly established, she’s set her sights on a different arena: the arena. She’s heading on a North American tour for the first time in 5 years.
With Adele’s 25 such a massive success, it’s no surprise that the singer will be playing huge arenas for super-profitable multi-night runs (six nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden, six nights at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, for instance). The 56-show tour will take place just a few weeks after the last show of her previously announced European tour. Hopefully that’s enough time for her pipes to recover, as her 21 tour was plagued with health complications that demanded risky surgery and prompted her much-anticipated televised comeback.
Speaking of Adele on TV, her Radio City performance — which was recorded back in November — will air on NBC tonight at 10 p.m. Tickets for the 25 tour will go on sale on December 17. See the dates below.
