Sorry, Sisters, but Tina Fey and Amy Poehler don’t shine their brightest in feature-length films. No, they shine brightest when being absurd in short bursts, which is exactly what is happening in their promos for this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live, which the duo is hosting along with musical guest Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
The clip is, as all SNL promos are, a string of unconnected bits featuring the hosts and some cast member. This time it’s Kenan Thompson in the starring role of his life, playing opposite two of comedy’s fiercest heroines. They dress him up like a snow man and squeeze him until candy comes out of… somewhere. The most impressive bit involves the two of them talking in perfect unison. It’s all very chipper and weird and perfectly Amy and Tina, just like their upcoming feature-film, Sisters, which hits theaters tomorrow! It’s the biggest film of the week! At least, that’s what we’re saying.
