DJ Shadow’s late for Christmas, and still a little early for el Dia de los Reyes. But any new music from the renowned vinyl fetishist is a good thing, so the release of his new single “Swerve” brings us nothing but good tidings. The song, which you can stream on Soundcloud below, is set to appear on an forthcoming but unnamed DJ Shadow LP. It bounces, wubs, and, well, swerves for a little over three minutes, moving us just enough to leave us wanting more.
Joshua Paul Davis’ last release as DJ Shadow was his 2014 Liquid Amber EP, originally released as a free download. His Nite School Klik project with 23-year-old crate digger G Jones dropped earlier this year on Davis’ Liquid Amber label.
