The Smith kids might not have turned themselves into Top 40 superstars or box office goldmines, but they sure have found a way to subvert their parents’ celebrity by infiltrating the art world in unexpected ways. First, Willow released a bizarre, inconsistent, and great album late last year. Now, Jaden has taken his love for fashion and focused it commercially, landing as the face of Louis Vuitton’s SS16 Campaign — for womenswear.
As Vibe reports, Louis Vuitton Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière announced Smith’s inclusion via Instagram, in photos shot by Bruce Weber.
This isn’t really a surprise, seeing as Smith has been seen wearing everything from dresses to Batman costumes. It’s also become kind of the norm for women to be seen in menswear shows — or for fashion shows to eliminate the gender distinction altogether — so Jaden’s inclusion isn’t totally surprising in that regard, either.
