Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, lead singer and spiritual captain of Motörhead, passed away last week, and today it’s been announced (via Blabbermouth) that the band will stream Lemmy’s memorial service via the band’s official YouTube channel.

The service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood on Saturday, January 9. The band released a statement on their YouTube channel, which you can read below:

Wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch the service with fellow Motörheadbangers and friends. GO to your favorite bar, or your favorite club, make sure they have access to an Internet connection and toast along with us. Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home. Whatever your venue, and however you can, let’s be sure to gather globally on Saturday, January 9 and celebrate the life of our dear friend and irreplaceable icon.

There’s more information on the band’s YouTube channel, such as how to call and order flowers for the service. Lemmy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer just two days before he passed away. He was 70 years old.
