Did Neighbors leave you longing for more college shenanigans, more beer bongs and bong-bongs and naked coeds and Zac Efron-as-twink? Did you think, “Hey! Why didn’t they make Rose Byrne dress up like a cheerleader?” or “Hey! Why doesn’t a girl get thrown through the windshield of a moving vehicle?” Yeah? You did? Well, we’ve got some exciting news for you: all of that can be found in the new trailer for Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, a movie that exists and will be released May 20.
The premise of Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising is based on a false idea of female-empowerment. That is to say, Chloë Grace Moretz starts her own sorority so she can throw parties, get wasted, and annoy her neighbors, Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. Zac Efron is called in to fight back, on the side of Rogen and Byrne, and he seems to have really taken the opportunity to hit the gym extra hard this time around, developing his core twink, twank, and twunk muscles. Also, Selena Gomez is in it.
Anyway, watch the video below. It’s soundtracked almost entirely by Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead,” which is appropriate, sure, given the fact that there are no black characters in the film, aside from a coed here and there. Again, the film is due for a May 20 release.
