It’s been three years since 30 Rock went off the air and we’re still feeling the void left by the show’s departure. Luckily, the trio behind 30 Rock—Tina Fey, Jack Burdiff, and Robert Carlock—is teaming up once again to work on a new pilot. This go-round, however, Fey, Burdiff, and Carlock won’t be writing about what goes on behind the scenes of a live television show, but instead will be writing about…football?
According to The Hollywood Reporter , CBS has just put in a pilot order for the upcoming comedy The Kicker. The multi-camera series will center on an athlete who has just been cut from his professional football team and is now making life difficult for everyone around him as a result.
Tina Fey, Jack Burdiff, Robert Carlock, and 3 Arts’ David Miner will all act as executive producers for the series, with Burdiff writing the script for the pilot.
