Rejoice, for there is a Kanye West story that is not about Twitter! It’s been announced that the rapper — yes, he still raps between tweets — will be the musical guest on the February 13 episode of Saturday Night Live, which will be hosted by Melissa McCarthy.
All excitement for Kanye aside, this should be a pretty solid episode of SNL, as McCarthy’s former stint on the show was pretty great, especially in relation to what has recently been deemed acceptable as the “standard” for SNL.
Anyway, the episode is scheduled for two days after the February 11 release of Kanye’s Waves, or Swish, or whatever it is he wants to call it. So, hopefully it will be a victory lap for the dude, and hopefully he is able to poke fun at himself for this week’s Twitter nonsense. Maybe Leslie Jones will have a nice chat with Kanye, Wiz Khalifa, and Amber Rose, and then the world will be back to normal. Or better than normal, even.
