The ‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival — Potentially Called ‘Gilmore Girls: Seasons’ — Is Official

Since there’s already been so much buzz about the Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls, many may have forgotten (or never even known in the first place) that it hadn’t been officially ordered. But. Apparently it hadn’t. Because news just broke that now it has.

TVline reports that the revival will potentially be called Gilmore Girls: Seasons — suggesting, perhaps, given its four-90-minute-installment format, that it’ll take place across four seasons. (Wild guess.)

And with this announcement comes the news that Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore), Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Keiko Agena (Lane) and Sean Gunn (Kirk) will all be reprising their roles.

Filming for the revival — written and executive produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino — will allegedly begin on February 2 (yes, that is next week!).

And in if you don’t believe us, Netflix’s Twitter account confirms that this is the real deal. (They’re clearly catering to the fans in their post — referencing a phrase coined by Lorelai which would make no sense to those who haven’t seen the show):
