Los Angeles-based artist Seth Armstrong, who we discovered on Fubiz, creates photorealistic paintings of cityscapes at night that allow us to peer into the tiny windows of massive buildings and watch the residents within. Armstrong focuses on skyscrapers, painting intricate reflections of city lights and miniature details of apartments and offices that require time and focus to find — such as the clothing hanging in a bedroom closet, a beside stack of books, or a couple having sex in the shadows. The neon lights and voyeuristic views lend an almost noir-ish vibe to the paintings.
