Carly Rae Jepsen Covered the ‘Full House’ Theme, Giving ‘Fuller House’ a Reason to Exist

Revivals, remakes, reboots, reanimations: they’re all the rage right now. The latest reanimation comes in the form of Netflix’s Fuller House, a walking corpse of a show that promises to bring back to life the cheesy sentimentality of Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and John Stamos, minus the Olsen Twins. Luckily, they ditched the original theme song for an updated version, performed by Canadian pop princess Carly Rae Jepsen.

It was announced back in December that the “I Really Like You” singer would be bringing her dance-y glitz to the Full House theme song, and now, just a day before the drop of Fuller House on Netflix, we can finally hear it.

The song is a pretty radical makeover of the singalong version that accompanied Full House, and that’s for the best, as Jepsen is unusually adept at surrounding her shiny vocals with very lavish productions.

Listen to it below, and save the link. You’re not gonna want to have to actually watch the show to hear it again.
