Daredevil is probably my favorite Netflix-produced show — along with Jessica Jones, Bojack Horseman, Orange Is the New Black, House of Cards, Sense8, and, most recently, Love. (You know, all of those other shows that I frequently refer to as “my favorite Netflix-produced show.”)
Nevertheless, anticipation is quickly building for the second season of Daredevil, now that it’s less than a week away. The show, part of Netflix’s ongoing partnership with Marvel, was met with general critical acclaim in its first season, and from the looks of the season two trailers, the show’s creators have taken great strides to ensure that the second season doesn’t alienate any of its first season fans — plenty of dark, brooding violence awaits.
The second season features some new series regulars, such as Stephen Rider in the role of District Attorney Blake Tower, Élodie Yung in the role of Elektra, and Jon Bernthal in the role of The Punisher.
The entirety of season two of Daredevil will premiere on Netflix this Friday, March 18th. And if any of your friends try to guilt trip you to go out while you come up with excuses to stay in so that you can binge the whole thing in one sitting, take a cue from the final installment of the three-part trailer series (which you can watch below), and just say, “This is a war I need to fight alone, my way.”
