In a Bowie cover to end all Bowie covers, Prince performed a 57-song show in Toronto Friday night — part of his Piano & A Microphone Tour — including a cover of David Bowie’s 1977 single “Heroes.” Singing at his piano at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, concertgoers captured footage of Prince’s ode to the late musician. “Heroes” was the most-streamed Bowie song on Spotify since the Thin White Duke’s death in January. The song was written by Bowie and Brian Eno, inspired by Neu!’s 1975 track “Hero.” Prince recently announced he’ll be writing his memoir, The Beautiful Ones, set to be released in the fall of 2017.
