Kesha to Perform at a Bob Dylan Birthday Festival

For the first time since embarking on her long legal battle with Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald — better known as Dr. Luke, the producer who she accused of sexual assault — Kesha seems ready to perform again.

Next month, The Best Fest is putting on Dylan Fest, a commemorative concert that celebrates the 75th birthday of everyone’s favorite raspy-voiced crooner, Bob Dylan. The festival will take place on May 23rd and May 24th (Dylan’s birthday) in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium. Kesha is slated to perform alongside Kurt Vile, Kacey Musgraves, Emmylou Harris, Dhani Harrison, Jason Isbell, Moon Taxi, and more.

The last time Kesha performed was in September 2015 at South Carolina’s Clemson University. Unfortunately, for the better part of this year, Kesha has been busy dealing with legal troubles.

Over the span of the last few months, the singer has appeared in court more than once, had her preliminary injunction denied, and has even allegedly been asked to say she lied about everything. Most recently, Kesha’s judge dropped seven out of the eight claims she had filed against Dr. Luke. The judge said that “every rape is not a gender-motivated hate crime.”
