The first full trailer for Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie has arrived, and with a plot that seemingly centers around the accidental tossing of Kate Moss from the side of a party boat, it looks quite glorious. Edina (Jennifer Saunders) and Patsy (Joanna Lumley) are back living the hard life: Edina, devoted as ever to hard work, is spending the week working remotely from Nobu when she gets a frantic call from her bestie Patsy informing her that Kate Moss has switched PR companies.
The two thereafter stalk Kate Moss to try to sway her, following her onto a party boat — which is where Edina accidentally, it seems, kills her:
From there, the two deal with the press and social media storm that ensues, and furious celebrities like Stella McCartney (who actually appears in the film) throw bricks into their windows. The two embark on a relaxing (and perhaps permanent?) getaway to the French Riviera, to avoid the outrage, but that doesn’t look like it works out very well, either. The trailer features Jon Hamm as a version of himself who may have had romantic or sexual ties to Patsy, and very clearly regrets it, and Rebel Wilson as a flight attendant who tases Patsy, and likely doesn’t regret it.
