Rage Against the Machine Are Ready to Once Again Rage Against the Machine

The machine is totally out of control, man. Donald Trump is going to be the Republican nominee for president! Hillary Clinton is totally firming up the DC establishment and ruining the integrity of Democratic party! How did this happen? Was it because Rage Against the Machine went away, and nobody was left to keep the machine in check? Man, it might have been. So, thank god Zack de la Rocha and the boys are getting back in the business of raging.

I mean, that’s if they deliver on the potential of the ominous advertising campaign as seen here and on the streets, as documented by the fine folks who use Twitter.

As reported by Pitchfork, Public Enemy’s Chuck D seems to be involved with whatever this comeback project is, as he tweeted out a video of one of the group’s London performances from 2010. Another hint at his involvement is the appearance of a Public Enemy lyric, “Clear the way for the prophets of rage.”

The Grammy-winning Rage Against the Machine hasn’t released new music since 2000’s Renegades, but the band has reunited for performances in the years since. De la Rocha has been especially busy, most recently in studio with Run the Jewels and Nas.

Update: ProphetsOfRage.com seems to be down. The public was ready to rage, but the machine (serve) was not ready.
