Marvel and Disney have confirmed the new cast of Thor: Ragnarok, which includes Jeff Goldblum and Cate Blanchett. We can totally stop there and be convinced to see another Thor movie based on their participation alone. But other newcomers include Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, and Mark Ruffalo. We know that Blanchett will star as the film’s mysterious new villain Hela, while Goldblum will star as the skilled Grandmaster, a character who first made an appearance in The Avengers #69. Thor’s new players join returners Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Anthony Hopkins. If you miss Goldblum’s appearance in blockbusters like Independence Day and Jurassic Park, this should tide you over for a while. Thor: Ragnarok is the third film in Marvel’s series, directed by What We Do in the Shadows filmmaker Taika Waititi. The film arrives in theaters on November 3, 2017.
