Condragulations, the wait is over: all 10 contestants of season 2 of RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race have been revealed this morning in Entertainment Weekly .
RuPaul himself said the selection process was pretty straightforward. “It’s who’s going to work well together, who’s going to make a great story,” he said.
Longtime enemies Alyssa Edwards and Coco Montrese will be back to argue more about who was supposed to win Miss Gay America, while RoLaskaTox (Roxxxy Andrews, Alaska Thunderfuck, and Detox) will reunite to indulge the rest of your season 5 nostalgia. Famed Libra Adore Delano will also be back, and ooh la la, so will Ginger Minj! Katya is already back (“I didn’t even go home, I didn’t even actually go home,” she joked. “They just kept me in one of the green rooms with no AC, no ventilation, and I just festered until they were like, ‘Time for round two, Katya. Do it!’”) Also expect fishy beauty Tatianna and, sorry internet, Phi Phi O’Hara.
Most of the girls sounded excited for redemption, to show how they’d matured and grown their characters over time. “You kind of find your own pack when you let time settle in, and I just wanted to go into All Stars being myself, if anything kind of amping it up a little bit more and being a little extra weird,” Adore Delano said.
Either way, prepare to eat up as much All Stars as your heart will take, probably for eternity: “The girls dropped whatever they were doing to do this,” RuPaul said. “We’ve got a hundred girls now, so we could pretty much do All Stars forever.”
