If you thought that the Looking movie was going to be any different from the Looking show, well, I’m sorry to say that that doesn’t seem to be the case. Even though he moved to Colorado, Patrick (Jonathan Groff) is still a cute white guy, and Kevin (Russell Tovey) is, too. Dom (Murray Bartlett) and Agustin (Frankie J. Alvarez) and Richie (Raúl Castillo) are cute, too. The city of San Francisco looks pretty smoking, too. It’s all very good looking, and there’s a wedding, and, wow.
The story, as far as there needs to be a story, is that Agustin and Eddie (Daniel Franzese, also cute) are getting married. That’s why Patrick came back to the city, and that’s why he has to face his past life, which was very dramatic and attractive. Agustin is worried about breaking Eddie’s heart, because that’s what he does. Dom and Patrick joke around about starting a relationship while Dom vapes. Dom’s chicken shack is nowhere in sight. Richie whispers to Patrick. Kevin has bleach blond hair and goes to bear bars now, I’m sure. A lot happens, but a lot actually happens happens, you know? Just like in the show.
