Arca (aka Alejandro Ghersi) just made a powerful return to our playlists. Since last year’s Mutant album, the Venezuelan producer has teased a new album called Reverie, which is set to drop later this year; he’s also been involved in his second collaboration with Björk, on her next album. But until Reverie is released, the artist has put out a 25 minute long, 14-track project on Soundcloud to appease those who cannot control their anticipation.
Arca dropped “Sin Rumbo,” the last track on the Soundcloud playlist, yesterday and told fans that 13 more tracks to follow. The new project, titled Entrañas, also features one song with a Cocteau Twins sample and two songs that feature Mica Levi. The artwork that accompanies the new tracks, a human-like skeleton, was done by Jesse Kanda, who’s responsible for a lot of the imagery surrounding Arca’s work, and has also worked with FKA twigs and Bjork.
