Angel Olsen and The Raincoats came together yesterday in London for a collaborative concert for one Rough Trade’s 40th anniversary shows, yet beyond that combination alone, somehow it gets more exciting: they covered Patti Smith’s “Because the Night,” and there’s footage (albeit Instagram footage, but footage nonetheless!):
Of course, this wasn’t just a one-song performance, and they also collaborated on a bunch of tracks from their respective repertoires (as well as a Kinks cover). Here’s Olsen and The Raincoats performing “High and Wild,” off Olsen’s album Burn Your Fire for No Witness:
