Awesome Photos of NOLA’s Badass All-Female Motorcycle Club

New Orleans’ first all-female motorcycle club is known as the Caramel Curves. These biker babes outfitted in heels to heaven and hot pink refuse to take a backseat to men. Originally founded as a sister motorcycle club to an all-male group, the Curves’ badass crew took its current form after the devastating Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city. Now they ride the streets with helmets boasting pink mohawks, and their bikes blow pink smoke when they show off their best burnouts. New Orleans-based photographer Akasha Rabut, who we first learned about on Booooooom Design Inc., photographed these amazing women, capturing their fierce independent spirits and infectious confidence. Rabut has a penchant for photographing NOLA’s fascinating subcultures, like a an urban horseback riding group known as the 504 Boyz, but it’s the Caramel Curves that captured our hearts.
