The 69th annual Directors Guild of America Awards took place Saturday night in Los Angeles. It’s probably no surprise that La La Land continues to soar with a major win in “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Feature Film” for Damien Chazelle . The director beat the filmmakers behind Arrival, Lion, Manchester by the Sea, and Moonlight. The win is another indication of who might take home the Oscar for “Best Director” at the 89th Academy Awards, which takes place on February 26, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. All but seven of the DGA “Best Director” winners have had repeat success at the Oscars. Here’s the complete list of DGA winners.
