Independence Day: The Stripped Down Stage Production

So this is fun: Way Off-Broadway (in Savannah, Georgia, to be exact) a group known as the Old Murder House Theatre (an off-shoot of the War Room Collective, a group of filmmakers from the Savannah College of Art and Design) is currently staging a production of Independence Day. Yes, that Independence Day, except minus Will Smith and all of the special effects. You might assume that with lines like this (“All right, you alien assholes! In the words of my generation: Up yours!”) the end result would be rather awful, but we were rather impressed by the footage after the jump.
