Oh, what’s that? You’ve got a standup special premiering on Netflix this month? Aww, that’s so cute. Dave Chappelle’s got not one, but two Netflix specials coming out this month — on the same day. In November, the streaming giant announced it had ordered a whopping three never-before-seen sets from Chappelle’s “personal comedy vault,” the comedian’s first new TV specials since 2004’s For What It’s Worth. Today, Netlfix released a teaser trailer announcing the first two, which will be available to stream on March 21.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the two new specials are The Age of Spin, filmed at the Hollywood Palladium in March 2016, and Deep in the Heart of Texas, taped during Austin City Limits Live in April 2015. Both were helmed by veteran sitcom director Stan Lathan. Netflix will also stream new standup from Amy Schumer this month, as well as a new Louis C.K. special in April.
