Today at Flavorpill when we were supposed to be busy working… we fell in love with 7-year-old Latarian Milton‘s devil may care attitude about car theft; we felt sorry for David Copperfield’s assistant’s arm; we contemplated what the death of network TV means for the next generation of universal pop culture references; we bought a t-shirt and joined Brooklyn artist Benjamin Degen’s Shoemocracy revolution; we listened to an oldie but a goodie — Steve Martin’s 5 Christmas Wishes — and then chased it with a video featuring Frosty the Snowman as Don Draper; we ignored the economic downturn by celebrating some fantastic architecture; we raised an eyebrow over the Agile Lie Detector for the iPhone app and finally decided to ask Santa for a BlackBerry instead; we felt a bit weird reading Jeff Tweedy’s kid’s blog, but then we got over it; we got all kinds of kitchy with some Asian Drill Pop; we read comments from hipsters who were even more sad than us about Sparks’ demise; we searched for a clip of “Sexy Lingerie” from The Facts of Life and then finally, when we almost gave up hope, we FOUND IT.
