At least fifty people are dead, and over 400 injured, following a terrorist attack at a music festival in Las Vegas last night. It is the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

The gunfire began at approximately 10:08pm Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, a three-day country music event at the Las Vegas Village and Festival Grounds on the Vegas strip. Country singer Jake Owen, who was one of the performers onstage when the massacre began, told CNN that “this shooting was going on for at least 10 minutes. It was nonstop.”

The shooter was holed up in a room on the 32nd floor of the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel, according to Las Vegas police. He committed the murders with automatic weapons; police say he had a cache of guns, including ten rifles, in his hotel room. It took police nearly two hours to locate the source of the gunfire. In the meantime, the terrorist reportedly killed himself.

Singer Jason Aldean, the evening’s headliner, posted this message on Instagram:

And President Trump offered his “warmest condolences,” whatever the fuck that means:

We have no sideways takes, or words of wisdom or hope here. We’re the only country where this happens, and it’s clearly just going to keep happening.
