As the holidays creep ever-closer – and seriously, when on earth am I expected to do all this shopping – we find ourselves increasingly drawn to the Christmas classics, cheerfully charming efforts like Miracle on 34th Street, Christmas in Connecticut, and (the gold standard) It’s a Wonderful Life, in which the warmth of the season shares screen space with perfect costumes, impeccable production design, and impossibly good-looking leading men and ingénues. But who has time to watch them all? (See previous paren re: Christmas shopping.) So, in a pinch, we suggest perusing this gallery of gorgeous old holiday movie posters. They’ll put you in the spirit, lickety-split.
Sorry about that last one – we just couldn’t resist. Happy Holidays!
