Today at Flavorpill, we were surprised at how complicated and postmodern children’s literature can be. We discovered the controversy surrounding deceased novelist Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy. We snickered at Jeff Beck’s album cover for Emotion & Commotion. We listened to, sang along with, and completely understood the intent of the Unclear Parts of Speech Mixtape. We stumbled upon a website that creates pop culture-centric puzzles, and now we know what we’ll be doing in our spare time. We learned the Thriller dance while sitting at our desks. Speaking of dance, we were informed that we do not have the right to dance at the Jefferson Memorial. We met our cute quota for the day by watching this video of new bear cubs at the Bronx Zoo. And, finally, we were confused by The Westboro Baptist Church‘s plan to picket outside of Twitter’s HQ while tweeting about their picketing. Allegedly, they’re not anti-Twitter, they just think the company should use their canvasing power to spread the word about the evils of sin.
