Photographer Brandon Voges‘s portraits may make you feel uncomfortable at first. His subjects appear off, with their raised eyebrows, protruding veins, flyaway hairs, and vacant stares. That’s because they’re upside down, but you’re looking at them right side up. Voges, who won an International Photography Award in 2008 for a similar series, Shaky Face , described the project as “gross, weird and super fun.” And he promised that nobody puked.
