What’s on at Flavorpill: Links That Made the Rounds at Our Office
Today at Flavorpill, the 15-year-old version of us totally flipped out over this My-So-Called Life reunion at the Elle Fashion Awards in London. We watched (and listened) as Raaaaaaaandy called out every rapper ever. We wanted to touch these “free-form” sculptures made from sticky tape. We wondered if Ke$ha feels bad that “TiK ToK” knocked a charity single for Haiti out of the number one spot on the Billboard 100. We were happy that ladies in the Navy can now serve on a submarine — unless Congress decides to intervene. We wanted to pop the collar on this polo shirt made entirely of Lacoste alligators. We rated the best and worst Oscar speeches. We decided that Kanye’s new video for “Coldest Winter” is Ichabod Crane meets Harry Potter. And finally, we ended the day cackling over the fact that Segways have taken over Boston’s North End. Just imagine Good Will Hunting or The Departed with those scooters tooling around in the background.
