Pic of the Day: CHROMAesthesiae

New York studio SOFTlab blurs the line between art and architecture, designing site-specific installations that inject something unexpected into existing space. Their latest project — composed only of high-gloss photo inkjet paper, binder clips, and acrylic — opens this weekend, on March 19, at Devotion Gallery in Williamsburg. Each of the nine 3-feet-tall funnels has a unique color gradient, printed on the interior on panels of inkjet paper. The binder clips on the exterior add a low-tech contrast to the glossy color treatment inside the vessels. Detail shots after the jump.

CHROMAesthesiae by SOFTlab will be on display at Devotion Gallery through April 5. The gallery opening is this Friday, March 19, at 7 pm.
