Today at Flavorpill, we picked our vices in the form of sterling silver jewelry. We realized the Chatroulette phenomenon is getting way out of hand when someone makes a Bingo game and tapped our toes to a Record Club cover of INXS’s “Kick,” featuring Beck, St. Vincent, Liars, and Os Mutantes. We were kinda surprised by the positive critical response to Hot Tub Time Machine and thoroughly entertained by NYMag’s pop-culture history of the Jacuzzi.
We geeked out over the Content Aware Filter in the next version of Adobe Photoshop (along with the rest of the internet). We learned about eco-friendly makeup with the ladies in Au Revoir Simone and tried not to indulge in schadenfreude upon reading that Bono has been ranked the worst investor in America. We reminisced about our favorite old-school PBS shows and wondered who is primed for a comeback; we say, Team Magic School Bus. And finally, we were split 50/50 on loving and loathing the promo poster pictured at right for the upcoming season of True Blood.
