Tuesday’s most popular screening was the swearing in of the new President. Viewing parties were held at both Zoom and Spur on Main Street, where cheers and tears were prevalent. A few Sundance stars ditched Park City to see it in person. [Variety]

Paris Hilton left Sundance, but not for the inauguration; the star was headed back to sunny LA for a photo shoot. But not before causing a romantic stir at the MySpace Cafe with the site’s founder, Chris DeWolfe. [E!]

No worries, there’s a new girl in town creating quite a buzz. Carey Mulligan, the 24-year-old British actress who stars in Shana Feste’s The Greatest and Lone Scherfig’s An Education, has earned comparisons to Audrey Hepburn with her delicate good looks; the first film is a critical favorite, so it seems that she can act, too. At Sundance’s VitaminWater House, the rapper and his trainer, Jay Cardiello, held an intense 20-minute workout. 50 recruited Tom Arnold, Mekhi Pfifer, and Sean Evans to join in on the cardio session he swears by.
