The Fiction Fix is your weekly dose of short story. If that’s not your drug of choice, too bad: consider it medicine. Every week, we’ll scour the literary magazines you don’t have time to read, online and in print, and let you know where to find one story worth reading.
Sure, you could buy one of any number of new editions of this F. Scott Fitzgerald short story that served as the basis, sort of, for the Oscar-nominated film, or even just read it online. But you can also find it in the most recent issue of Francis Ford Coppola’s lit mag, Zoetrope: All-Story, where it’s a part of the “Classic Reprint series, in which short stories that inspired films are reprinted to illustrate the narrative relationship between the art forms.” And if you look for Benjamin Button there, you’ll get a few bonuses: a short intro by the film’s screenwriter, a few other short stories, and the lovely photographs of this issue’s guest designer, Lou Reed.
