Enough Godzilla Toys to Make You Roar

It's a good time to be a Godzilla fan, thanks to the recent release of the new Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the just-announced Criterion Collection 15-movie package of vintage Godzilla faves (a set deemed worthy of the distinguished Spine #1000). But the place to be if you really, truly love the legendary kaiju, the place to be this weekend is the Long Beach Convention Center, where the Peekaboo Gallery will spend two days auctioning off the world's largest collection of Godzilla memorabilia - the prized possessions of a single collector, film editor Mark Livolsi. He's selling more than 1200 items, from action figures to movie posters to oddball ephemera, in the VINYL CONFLICT: The World of Godzilla Toys auction, and if you'd like more info (or to pick up their handsome catalog) visit Peekaboo Gallery online. But don't worry if you can't make the trek; you can bid online at icollector.com, or if you just want to window shop, we've picked out a few of the highlights.
